Good food Stable Grill with upper end of moderate pricing. Tenderloin Sliders, or Medallions, are excellent. Busy on Friday nights. Historic Stone House fine dining is also excellent (Pretzel-crusted Lake Pech). View all feedback.
What Kel Smi doesn't like about Quivey's Grove:
Had dinner at the stone house at quiveys one word sums it up regret. I ordered the fish it tasted like old grease i sent it back and they brought the chicken it was even worse. Same old grease taste but also sour smell. I couldnt eat it. My husband tried it and spit it out. If your menu is mainly fried try changing the grease. View all feedback.
Beer Battered Cod was delicious. I liked the parmesan potatoes, but my hubby did not. Their chowder was tasty. Parking is a challenge as it is very busy on a Friday night. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Our family that took us here go often.
Great family experience. We are visiting from out of town and my brother's family loves not far. We scored a table outside and watched our younger kids play while enjoying drinks at the tables. The atmosphere is great indoors and outdoors. I grew up in Wisconsin and hadn't had a perch fish fry in decades. It was great to enjoy perch again in such a Wisconsin setting.
This review is solely for the Tiki dinner event that was held on 7/20. My husband and I attended together, this was our first event to attend at Quivey's Grove. Overall we VERY much enjoyed our evening! But there were a couple of points to work on too. Positive: The food was GREAT, they cooked an entire pig for the Tiki dinner which was very impressive! Also, the potato salad was the best I have ever had. Chef, I will beg on my knees for that recipe, please. It was amazing. The side contests were super fun! The provided live music was AMAZING and the musician even gave me one of his CDs after providing a tip, which was unexpected and appreciated. Very talented guy. We got THREE free drinks and they were all VERY good and strong! Three cheers for State Line Distillery, they were the star of the show tonight. The bartenders were super cheerful and fun to talk to, we will be sure to go visit their distillery soon. I won a bottle of their coffee liquor and it is DELICIOUS. Negative: The beautiful live music sadly wrapped up at 7pm, even though the event was slated to go until 9pm. We would have stayed until the end just to listen to him play, and once he left the vibe of the event quickly diminished. A clear schedule of events would have been appreciated beforehand. IE: what time food would be served, the hula hoop contest, music duration, etc. We didn't really have any idea of what to expect or when we should arrive so we wouldn't miss anything. Some folks showed up at like 6:30 and all of the food was already gone. When an event is scheduled 4pm to 9pm that leaves a lot of guessing. I actually wish the tables had been placed slightly closer together for a more communal feeling. My husband and I felt kind of isolated with no one to talk to because we were all spread so far apart. Overall our experience was good, and we look forward to attending future events here!
Excellent food and service in the Stone House for our group of 13 diners. Quivey’s Grove is still great after all these years.
Friendly staff and great food! It was a very fun atmosphere as well!
