The best food we have ever eaten, super friendly owners and very good value! In the UK the same meal would cost about three times the price and would not have the same ambiance. View all feedback.
A hidden gem nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Marche and yet perfectly perched on top of the hills for all of Porto San Giorgio to see, my recent experience at this charming family restaurant left me lost for words. It’s quite rare – especially on Holiday to a country that’s infested with tourism to find a tranquil corner of the paradise un-disturbed by the rest of the world and even rarer to find yourself at home even though you’re very far from it. This is thanks to the family-staff that run the place with the care you’d expect from organisations protecting national treasures. The genuine warmth of the hospitality is unrivalled. It's a perfect place for caravan tourists but it doesn’t limit itself to just that. There’s also a family-friendly pool and restaurant with some of the best home-made meals you can have in Italy. Its inviting ambiance is as undeniable as its humble charm. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. Every dish that graced my table was a testament to the culinary care of the family matriarchy. It’s quite evident that love is a big flavour in every meal you can have there while also showcasing the freshest and healthiest of the locally sourced ingredients. The highlight for me was the Arrabiata, it had me adopting the Scarpetta culture of Italian Cuisine and saved me embarassment of trying to lick my plate clean. I also had the privilege of sampling some of the finest olive oils from their own groves, each with its distinct flavor profile. It was an educational and delicious journey that added a layer of depth to the meal. As the sun set over the rolling hills, I couldn't help but reflect on the unique magic of the evening. Ironically it’s very wrong to use the word ‘hospitality’ as it’s derived from the latin word ‘hospes’ – meaning stranger guest. My experience was the opposite as I was made to feel at home – a compliment that’s extremely hard to come by in a world we live in now. And as long places like Azienda Agricola Frantoio e Campeggio Abbruzzetti exist, a corner of heaven on earth is accessible for everyone to visit.
The real McCoy Italian cuisine; limited choice but ever so tasty: lovely olive all’Ascolana for starters, baked home-made tagliatelle fritte and al-dente pasta Bolognese with hand picked basilicum and sun-tasting tomato. The hardworking and very kind owners-couple Maria-Pia Sylvio welcome you on their chill terrace with a view of the Adriatico. A bit of a climb to arrive at their restaurant but I guarantee you wil not be disappointed.

This is a special place away from it all, where locals enjoy local specialities. The food is all local produce and is being served by the very people producing it. A very relaxed atmosphere and well prepared honest food at a bargain. Very suitable for vegitarians but also for those who enjoy in addition a nicely prepared chicken, all complemented with local wine. Overall a very nice experience and recommended also for non locals the restaurant is not signposted as such. The bill wil surprise you in a pleasant way.
We stayed here in a mobile home and we were fine. a very quiet and nice place.
