Im Haus Am See - Ferch Schwielowsee

In 2023 restaurant and hotel still exist under the same management. Only there is another closing day, Tuesday, and prices have increased with the years. We're still going there. We were looking for a way to drink coffee when we drove through Ferch on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in August. Then I saw a noteboard “House at the Lake”, which reminded me of a song by Peter Fox. So follow the signs and see there, at the end of the road it stood, the house at the lake. Only in this case was a hotel restaurant. Parking was found directly outside the door, in a public parking lot. We entered the beautiful garden. Some tables on the summer terrace were still free. My companion saw guests who just got up from a table at the front, drove on it and took place. As a result, we literally sat in the first row, with a free view of the Schwielowsee. We immediately received the cards. German cuisine was offered. Soups, appetizers, salads, meat and fish dishes. Desserts, ice cream, cake. In addition, the usual beverage selection of beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks as well as coffee and tea. Prices moved in the upper average to slightly raised range. Appropriate for a daytrip. On the way, something hearty. My companion took sausage meat; I chose tomato mozzarella salad with balsamic vinegar. After a short time, a large bowl with sausage meat and a huge plate with mozzarella, tomato, rocket and friséesalat were served. Both were delicious. Then the second gear. Ice or cake? In the map we had read some of cherry wind bags. Finally we ordered them, coffee and milk coffee. We got everyone a very good cherries and cream filled wind bag and tidy coffee. This gang also sounded very much. As already mentioned, we had obtained a place in the first row of water. In front of us a footpath passing the local and the ship's dock. Behind it came the water. The view was fantastic. We sat there for a while, it was too nice to get up. From the rows of the summer terrace, you also have a good view of the water. The house was built in 1900, followed by extensions and reconstructions. It went through different hands and is now guided in the 4th generation of a family. Nowadays it is a hotel restaurant. There are, lt. house brochure, 21 rooms, of which 15 double and 6 single rooms. The area is located directly on the water, about one kilometre from Fercher Ortszentrum. Also inside it seemed thriving. The staff was friendly and flotted. We enjoyed the visit to the house by the lake. If we get back to Ferch, we'll give him another visit.
