Located not far from Redfern station, Fern St Eatery is a great little cafe that opens 7 days a week. We started with coffee and it was amazing (from The Little Marionette). For the main dishes we chose The Fern Street Beef Burger and Fish Tacos. The burger was simple but done right. The patty was thick and perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and yum. What Wal McDonald doesn't like about Fern St Eatery:
I ate at this establishment today and ordered poached eggs on toast. After l started eating the second eggs l encounted a bad taste in my mouth and looked at the egg and noticed the yoke was a cloudy strange colour. I pointed this out to the management but they were in denial about any problem with the dish. So no apology and no compensation. Worst was still to come as about an hour later l was viontley ill and vomit... View all feedback.

I'll never return to this place and will also tell all my local Redfern friends to stay clear also
We love the relaxed vibe and people at Fern St. We ordered the Shakshuka and the bacon egg roll, both were super tasty and coffee was great. Will definitely be back!

It looked so convincing and also delivered in terms of flavours. Will be back for it.To end the meal we opted for the gluten-free brownie and salted caramel slice. Both were decadent without being too sweet.
I dropped by here to get something for lunch and got takeaway, so I didn't get the full dining experience. Staff were nice and the place had a nice ambience. I ordered their chicken sandwich, which was pretty good (but slightly expensive). It had a slight kick to it which I liked and set it apart from countless other chicken and avoid sandwiches I have had before. Would come here again.
What a welcome addition to the Redfern area! Small but delicious menu. The Beetroot and quinoa salad is fantastic! Service is fast and friendly.
