This place did not disappoint. The crepe cone burgers are a treat, I had a chicken, bacon, avocado.....yum. My boys enjoyed Chicken and Waffles, reminded us of Texas, and a Johnny B Goode burger. The service was fast and friendly, a liitle wait for our food but it is cooked from scratch so that is to be expected. However, there is plenty to look at while waiting for your food. My favourite place in Sydney. They have without a doubt the best buffalo wings around. Nobody comes close! Absolutely incredible thickshakes too. The cinnamon donut thickshake we had tonight was mindblowing! Their chilli cheese fries, loaded fries, cheese and bacon fries... All fantastic too. Staff are incredibly welcoming and lovely, and the diner vibe is perfect. It's bigger and better than their Newtown Diner, so if you've been to that one, you've gotta come see this one! If you haven't been to that one either, give one of them a try! Parking is much easier at this Brighton one with a shopping centre around the corner.
Doughbox Diner is the greatest place to eat in all of NSW. Don't listen to all the fake reviews by haters below as their opinion isn't worth a pinch of salt. My review is as serious as a heart attack. Restaurant: The atmosphere here is absolutely incredible and truly brings you back to the 1950's. Everything looks so authentically 1950s and will truly immerse you in the time w/out the need to buy a DeLorean and reach 88mph. Service: The service is absolutely incredible here. Super kind, super polite; waiters and waitresses. The manager… is the sweetest and most beautiful woman a I have had the pleasure to ever meet. She will great you and make you feel so welcome and words will never describe how amazing she is till you meet her. Food: The food here is just as incredible as everything else here. It always tastes cooked w/ nothing but amazing taste in mind. They prepare it to look as amazing as it tastes and you won't be disappointed. For those who say they have to wait for their food it is always worth the wait and also the diner is packed to capacity so the kitchen tries it's hardest to get you your food as quickly as they can. All Up; I love this place so much and everything about it is absolutely spot on incredible. Fiona has the warmest smile and the sweetest voice that will surely make you feel welcome. It's the best place to dine in all of NSW.
A great restaurant to try if you’re a fan of the 1950’s 60’s style, rock and roll, yummy food and drinks to die for, or just looking for something different. The menu, the service and the atmosphere are all great, just like the attention paid to every small detail when this place was set up. Can’t wait to come back to try more of the dishes. Warning: Don’t ruin your appetite before you visiting the Doughbox!
Great setup. The owners have done a really great job with the decor. Good to go once in a while for old school treats.
