What Joseph Hall doesn't like about Lindy's:
Where do I even start. The customer service was horrible. The food was sub par in quality. Sides were overcooked. We got charged for sides that were supposed to be included with our meals. We never got one of our sides that we asked for the minute we sat down. We had to sit at dirty table that was not bussed. We did not get greeted at the door when we first arrived. One of the servers had a really snarky and rude att... View all feedback.
I got the country fried steak, nice and tender, cooked perfect light golden ! Decor could be upgraded. Service was perfect. Great mom and pop place ! We will be back for sure !
We were in Fayetteville for an outpatient procedure and decided to have brunch at Lindy’s. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We had eggs, bacon, home fries, bacon cheese omelette and biscuits. I enjoyed my food. The eggs yokes were runny, bacon was extra crispy just as I like them. And home fries cooked just right. The biscuits were flaky and fresh, not like the most of the ones other places serve that taste like a wad of lard in your mouth with the first bite. The only bad thing’s I can say is, My wife had the bacon cheese omelette that looked as flat and hard as if it had been run over by a truck so it came home with us to feed the critters lol. The restrooms were outside and looked like what you find in an old gas station. You know, the kind you don’t want to use but have to lol. And an employee spent her break smoking in the ladies room so it was thick with cigarette smoke when my wife went in. Which made her eyes burn having just had cataract surgery hours before. I told my wife “it looks like an old A&W drive in” and upon reaching my review, I discovered IT IS! It was built in 1963 and is on the historic registry. Lindy’s brought back fond memories from my childhood. Which is why I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere. And I hope it gets the much needed renovation it deserves without changing its historic ambience. We recommend you visit this landmark, but don’t order a omelette lol.
Always eat breakfast here at least once a week. There the only place in town that knows how to cook my eggs over medium well) they also make the best grits in town. I've lived here a long time and no other restaurants in town come close to the food, service and ambiance. Everyone there is top shelf.
The food is always good and cooked to order. Breakfast is always busy and their cheeseburgers are so good along with the fish.
Not cheap keeps going up on prices with smaller serving.
