The restaurant is situated in a beautiful location with a fantastic outdoor area, perfect for enjoying lunch in the sun with friends. While it was somewhat pricey, the food was delicious. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely return. View all feedback.
What Caroline Champion doesn't like about The Museum Inn:
Location lovely. Ladies on duty very welcoming. Sadly the Sunday roast was very average. Roast potatoes felt had been put on fryer. Green vegetables were fine. Yorkshire pudding like cardboard. So unfortunately we have cancelled the Christmas day meal we had made. I am very glad that we had done a test run .. rather than just turning up for Christmas day. Beautiful meal but a little pamper if for 2 very small creatures overload. £6.50 when it was advertised as £5. the waitress was canceled from our request and said that happens sometimes! the brat was excellent, but the problem with the bill made us with a bad taste.
Finally, a hotel with car charging points. My room was excellent, very comfortable, and well appointed. The only downside wad the WiFi didn't penetrate into my room and the phone signal there was very low (vodafone). Breakfast starts at 08:30, which wasn't early enough for me but was well worth waiting for. I would definitely use this hotel again.

One word to sum up the Museum Inn...WOW! Location...in a beautiful village where every property is a thatched chocolate box cottage, and the surrounding countryside is breathtaking. Food....absolutely delicious, fresh, tasty. Room...huge, comfortable, luxurious, so much attention to detail. Staff....friendly, helpful, attentive. Its a beautiful place in a stunning location and we can't wait to stay again! It's perfect. AND, very importantly, our furry dog baby was most welcome. We were in our way to Swanage for a few days, but wanted to stay here instead!! Thank you, Museum Inn.
