Loeven Nymfen - Fanoe

Visiting the beach on the west coast of Fano, stopped off at Loven Nymfen for icecream. 4 large scoops for 48 DKK, so well priced. Helpful server on the counter, and fantastic spot outside in the sun overlooking the sea on the terrace on which to enjoy my cold treat. Clean and tidy toilets.

We have eaten here for the last five summers. The location is great; the staff friendly; unfortunately the food quality has really gone down. The fish and chips and stjerneskud (Danish fish and prawn dish) both used to be freshly cooked and really top quality. Both have been replaced by fish which seemed to have come straight from supermarket frozen packet to plate. The fish in the fish and chips was not even cooked through; bread for the stjerneskud was not fresh. Kids' burgers still good. Can only hope standards will return to what they were, because you cannot beat the view of the beach!

This restaurant offers meals at an affordable price, but food quality wasn't great. Food was partly cold, no vegan alternative was offered to my brother. Staff was friendly though ...

Had a fab lunch at this place, right at the edge of the entrance to the beach. Sat at a table with a lovely view. Burgers were fresh and tasty, sandwiches had good and well made fillings. The stjerneskud was huge with both fried and poached fish. Could not fault the staff who were welcoming,smiley and attentive. Would definitely go back here. Also great for a family dinner as prices are very competitive for the island.

2016 The first time for a quick meal , and so much taste in a burger that was amazing, my wife had a chicken sandwich with nan bread , fantastic . I guess the season we will go here often.
