The food here is fantastic, with a wide variety of options and generous portion sizes! The staff is friendly and efficient. Their burgers are incredibly tasty and perfectly cooked. While many places default to medium or well-done if you request medium rare, that's not the case here! They really know how to cook a burger just the way you ask. My parents, who are from Pennsylvania, are eager to return! I absolutely lov... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gunselman's Tavern:
Last Friday, I went with a group of nine friends to try the Lake Erie perch. Each of us received only four small pieces of perch, about the size of my index finger, and they were boiled and quite dry. The fries, however, were excellent, but I didn't spend $25 just for good fries. The coleslaw was also very tasty. Unfortunately, we had heard great things about the perch, but it was disappointing. It's a shame that our... View all feedback.
Really great local bar. Good food, sausage, ethnic food. Good place good people. Can be busy waiting as ready. Definitely back. Food: 5/5
Visited for dinner during Pierogi Week in Cleveland. The place was packed, as they were one of the restaurants participating in Pierogi Week specials. We were quoted a 90 minute wait. While we waited for our table and the other half of our party, we sat at the bar for a bit. We had some drinks and noticed how many carry out orders the restaurant had. Our table was ready in about an hour and we sat down at one of the tables in the back room. Our server was very slow, didn't check on us very often, and it took forever to get our food and check when we were finally done. However, the food was excellent. I was the only one who didn't get a pierogi special, as they didn't have an option without dairy. So I opted for their Cobb Salad with Derby Dressing, minus the blue cheese. The salad is something I will definitely come back for it was all about that dressing, along with the fresh cooked crispy bacon and avocado. I think if we came during a normal day, we'd have a better experience. With that said, I'm still giving 4 stars based on the food and atmosphere. Cozy, neighborhood bar and grill.
Such a local gem! Great food and even better people! Highly recommend! Go early and often
We came on a Friday night and this place was packed!!! It is a pretty loud sports bar. They were on a 30 minute wait so we went to the bar to have drinks while we waited. We ended up waiting longer than they quoted us but that wasn't their fault. There were tons of tables paid out and just sitting there for a little bit which was a tad frustrating. Once we did get seated, it took 10 15 minutes for our server to get to our table. We started with an appetizer the chicken bites dipped in Buffalo sauce and they were great. For my dinner, I tried the Lady Pierogis on the appetizer menu for my main dish. I love pierogies and I had high hopes for these, but I felt like they needed more grilled onions on top. The pierogies were good and stuffed full of potatoes. Overall, this a cool, local spot.
Great menu food. Love their homemade Pierogis! Chicken Paprikash is also EXCELLENT!! A little pricey, but worth it.Good service. Family ambiance.
