What Eric Newton doesn't like about Porterhouse Bbq:
Hate to say but just ok or decent BBQ at best and their prices are high for the relatively bland BBQ and sides served (great location at least). Fatty brisket, decent BBQ pork sandwich but on a lousy basic bun, small servings of collard greens and baked beans that honestly tasted like they came from a can, each side option cost $4. Great BBQ and sides with friendly people!Definitely recommend stopping in for a bite.
Elite. It is exactly what a Southern BBQ restaurant should be. Local, kind, and delicious. The sauce and sweet tea is going to forever stick in my mind. A little pricey but I am person that will support local businesses til I have no money left. Worth every penny!
Customer service was impeccable. The food tasted amazing as well! I highly….highly recommend.

My wife and I went in 45 minutes before Mardi Gras parade. They were slammed with two people but the lady behind the counter was so nice and had a beautiful smile. The fellow cooking just kept doing his job and they had everyone serviced in time to eat and see the parade. We had a burger that was hand patted with a tomato that looked and taste like it was off the vine. We heard grate comments from the other guests. I would love to go back and eat the barbeque as that is what they are famous for in the area.
