Really nice and clean restaurant with a friendly staff. A lot of good food options and I believe most ingredients are organic. Also the only vegan spot in Evansville. As with any vegan spot, prices are a bit on the higher end but not too bad.
Flourish has really delicious and creative menu offerings, using locally-sourced herbs and produce whenever possible. Not only do they serve freshly-pressed juices all yummy...Green Dreams and Rise n Shine are my favorites) , Wellness Shots, try the Vitamin C-Ya Later) and scrumptious Smoothies Purple Power will make you want to sing), but they offer an amazingly varied food menu, too. Everyone, from a raw fruitarian to those seeking ultimate flavor and comfort, can be pleased and satisfied. Nothing is ever deep-fried, and the food is always crazy fresh. The Seitan Buffalo Wings are a favorite of mine, and they’re perfect. I have tried nearly everything they’ve made, and it’s like choosing my favorite child to even list my favorites here. But I must recommend the Tofu Bahn Mi, the Portobello French Dip sandwich, the Breakfast Crunchwrap, and the Rueben. My fiancé LOVES the chili, and even made a point of going back inside the restaurant when we ordered food to-go and ate in our car) to let the owner know how thoroughly he enjoyed it. He got the Seitan Gyro and raved about it, too. Flourish pays EXTREME attention to the details, and each dish is so thoughtfully constructed, that eating is a true delight. Nothing bland or boring here. And frankly, they are so good about pleasing the customer that they are keen to make things right if something isn’t exactly what was wanted. Their Customer service is excellent, and they bend over backwards to make folks happy. I haven’t even talked about their full size salads yet— you will not be disappointed if you order the vegan Cobb salad. The house made tofu egg scramble and tempeh bacon are so dang good! I also heartily recommend the Strawberry Balsamic salad, the Rainbow Kale salad oil free, raw, freaking delicious), the Miso-Mandarin coconut bacon, curry cashews, omg), and the Caesar. You could literally eat a salad every single day, ... week in, week out and never get tired of them, they are just that tasty. Despite opening at the start of the pandemic, this hard-working crew was voted Best New Restaurant in Evansville 2020 by the Evansville Courier Press. The owners are passionate animal activists, and this restaurant is quickly earning a reputation of excellence among vegans and omnivores alike. They are very good about updating their social media, so definitely give them a follow and make every effort to support this small local business who is doing such phenomenal things.
Super pleased with our first visit! The food was deliciousness and the staff was very friendly! Definitely hoping to make another trip to try more items on their menu.
Food is so delicious! And not greasy or oily. It's really hard not to eat here every day! So happy Evansville finally has a proper vegan restaurant in town. Staff is great and passionate about what they do. I wish them continuing success.
I could be wrong but I believe this is the only exclusively vegan restaurant in Evansville. I went for the first time May 14, during the COVID scare, so everything was carryout only. However, the dining room is beautiful and I'll certainly sit down when everything opens again. Everyone in house was very kind and helpful. And the fact that the restaurant is locally owned and operated makes it an ethical choice as well. This is guilt-free food! Flourish's menu seems to be on rotation. Each day of the week they have a different lunch and dinner option. They also have juices and smoothies. All of their options are vegan. I went on Wednesday, so I had the buffalo chickpeanini. It was absolutely delicious--the depth of flavor was so much more than I was expecting. I haven't had a more satisfying lunch in a long time. I never thought I'd enjoy shredded carrot on a sandwich, but here we are. The also served chocolate cupcakes with a kind of oreo frosting. In my opinion, they didn't hold a candle to the sandwich, but were still okay. I will absolutely be back and can't recommend this to all of you more.
