Perfect breakfast place in downtown Painesville, when I come into town, my brother and I meet here for breakfast Menu has this à la cart items were most things are two dollars. I ordered a breakfast sandwich composed of whole wheat toast, sausages, two eggs over medium, and some cheese, made open faced. It was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. What bobby doesn't like about The Sidewalk Cafe:
I have been here for breakfast a number of times. If you get the specials it's reasonably priced and edible. Decided to come for lunch and I was highly disappointed. $14 for an a la cart corned beef sandwich that had maybe 1/4 pound of corned beef and was so salty it was disgusting. Not only salty but the bread was mush. Paid $3 extra for the few fries that were also mushy and gross. $3 for a coke took me to $20 for... View all feedback.

Good experience... food was tasty, servers were attentive. The fries looked seasoned but was kinda bland but the BLT and Gyro was good.
We have lived in Painesville for 2 years and we are just trying the Sidewalk Cafe. Nice little breakfast and lunch place open 6 A.M. to 3 PM. The M-F Breakfast special for $6 is delicious. The Wheat bread is whole grain and delicious. The home fries were real potatoes ? and the Scrambled eggs ?? were light and fluffy. They had Frank's and Heinz right on the table so no begging for condiments. Quick Service our total stop was about a half hour. Their $6 breakfast delicious and had. some Yum! ?
I ordered the big omelet breakfast. The omelet was good, but I got pancakes with NO butter or syrup. WHO DOES THAT????.... When you go into ANY restaurant they have butter, jelly, or ketchup and mustard on the table. If it's breakfast they will have syrup on the table.
Horrible service sat there for 45 minutes waiting for food there were only three other tables they weren’t busy at all. the omelette was disgusting, the sausage gravy was super thick and tasted like it was out of a can. the french toast wasn’t cooked and mushy and raw. sat there for 20 mins waiting for a coffee refill. the waitress only came over twice to ask how we were doing other than that she just stood behind the bar doing nothing. i wouldn’t recommend this place.
