This place is growing on us, with such high reviews and strong word of mouth recommendations it was shocking we didn’t like it at first. The silverware is utterly garbage, you can’t even cut a crepe with the knives, and crepes are extremely soft. The food itself is okay, not as hyped up as everyone says though. The place is always packed so it’s always very disorganized and staff seems overwhelmed. It would be benefi... View all feedback.
What Artye Asvui doesn't like about Betsy's Crepes In Southern P:
I just wanted to let people know that I don't think they're gluten friendly. The staff doesn't seem to be fully trained on how to make sure gluten free orders are actually gluten free beyond asking the chef. Their official policy is to use a toothpick but if they forget you're supposed to trust they remembered to use the right batter. Flavor wise nothing is too impressive here. My egg bowl actually looked unappetizin... View all feedback.
The crepes were okay not really worth the price. We got 3 crepes and spent $29.00 on our bill. The kids had a simple crepe with just bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. The crepe was not filling at all even though I ordered a crepe with 3 vegetables, cheese, and eggs. The service was good. The place seemed busy so maybe other food items are better than the crepes.
Fast delivery of our order! Food was quite tasty… we sat outside for lunch to enjoy the sights and warmth of the sun!!
Delish. The food is good, the place is cute, our waitress was very helpful. If I'm ever in town again I will be back
There is a lot you want to like BUT there is too many issues to look past. Food: Lots of promise in theory but poorly executed. Corners cut through the use of ready made ingredients rushed out leaving flavor behind. Panini bread was bulk flatbread, turkey was bulk sliced **** deli meat and the pesto couldn’t be more muted. Thankfully the bulk crinkle fries were dusted with something. Why not buy some fresh local bread to make the panini in than bulk frozen stuff from your food supply company? Waffles were bulk ready mix made. Hotel Golden waffle mix has more flavor to be brutally honest. These didn’t taste like anything. Savory Crepe dishes we had were just fine. Nothing that stood out, one note as the filling just melded together into a single mass of food. Service: they get through the wait list quickly BUT that is overshadowed by the clear need to rush you in and out to turn tables over. Badgered for our drinks and order by 3 different people within 3 minutes of sitting down. Smiles on their faces but rushed every bit of the experience. Drinks: only drink has was unsweet tea. Bulk brand tea brewed terribly. Flavorless. They were so scattered and rushed, they started refilling it with water without asking. From the outside, looks promising but very underwhelming when it comes to the food they serve. Friendly faces but driven by turnover of tables. They have concept, it needs a lot of help to make it more than it is today.
Great experience and food. Highly recommend! We had an exceptional dining experience thanks to our waitress Sierra. She made the meal enjoyable beyond just the food, her genuine approach added a special touch to the day. I highly recommend her service!
