However, the restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and some standout employees, like Grace and Courtney, who provide exceptional service. The food is generally well-cooked with a good range of options. While some customers experienced slow service and hygiene concerns, others appreciated the friendly staff, cleanliness, and delicious food. Overall, Bartlewood Lodge Stonehouse seems to offer a mixed but mostly positive dining experience.
It is a great bar/restaurant with a great price menu and decent drinks. the new marston’s 61 deepthroat on tap is 3.8% and a really nice bright al. very refreshing and easy to drink. Sundays carvery is really good value and the portions are huge, with an option to pay more for extra meat. good selection of nice. very tasty and filling are a long walk. staff very friendly and friendly. good social distancing measures. came back last week, just as good!
I have been to this restaurant a few times and usually enjoy it, but this visit was not so good. The burgers were good and served hot, but the chips were lukewarm and only barely edible if you ate them first. There was no vinegar or sauces available, only salt and pepper on the table. The staff seemed friendly enough, so perhaps the cook was just having an off day. I will visit again to see if this was a one-time occurrence, but if not, I will not return.
I visited this restaurant on September 6th with my partner's father and stepmother to celebrate a birthday. It's their go-to spot for a carvery. We were welcomed warmly by the staff and seated in a nice, cool air-conditioned section of the restaurant on a warm day in September. The restaurant offers a carvery where you can help yourself, as well as made-from-scratch pizzas and other food options like burgers. We all opted for the carvery, which was presented beautifully like at Toby Carvery. The food was delicious, especially the gammon and turkey which were cooked perfectly - the turkey was surprisingly moist, unlike what I usually experience. The gravy and mashed potatoes were also excellent. I filled up my plate and enjoyed every bite. There is also a lovely playground for children, where my daughter had a great time playing with local kids. It was a wonderful birthday outing in a charming town.
Unfortunately, the carvery at this restaurant is no longer worth the price. The vegetables were overcooked and lacked flavor, except for the roast potatoes. Additionally, the portion of meat was very small. I will not be returning to dine there in the future.
Came in today, greeted by Jade at the door, who was very accommodating and always had a smile on her face. Served by Lucy, who was very efficient at her job at the bar. We all had carvery, served by Sandra and James, 2 lovely carvery staff, meat was amazing, the vegetables cooked to perfection, brilliant food by Matt. Big well done to the kitchen team. Ordered drinks via the app, Oliver and Nico delivered them with a smile and were very professional keep up the hard work everyone
