Came across this place by accident and was drawn in by their philosophy of helping train homeless youth. Had a very tasty breakfast and coffee and would recommend it to anyone! View all feedback.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The coffee I ordered, a long black, was delicious. The caramel slice and banana bread we ate were also very tasty. I forgot to ask for sugar in my coffee, but the staff kindly added it for me. The only complaint I have is that they use disposable coffee cups even for customers who are dining in. Despite this, I will definitely be returning.
My son was excited to bring us to this restaurant and had gifted me their cookbook. We were not disappointed when we finally arrived. The service was outstanding and we enjoyed a delicious brunch of beautifully presented dishes. I ordered the Avocado Smash and it was excellent. We also had great coffee, which was so good that I purchased a bag of their Ethiopian bean blend to take back to Scotland with me. Our server mentioned that he was new and trained as a sommelier, and was planning food and wine events in the future. Unfortunately, we were leaving soon so we couldn't attend. I will have to settle for trying out some of their recipes at home. I admire the restaurant's ethical concept and hope it continues to succeed.
The coffee at Streat is exceptional, and the customer service is excellent. It's great to see such high-quality service in a shopping center. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that this establishment also supports and provides training to disengaged youth who are at high risk of homelessness. Trainees learn the craft and can earn a certificate in hospitality upon graduation. The coffee, cookies, service, and commitment to a positive cause at Streat are fantastic. I love it!
Simple place to rest and have a good Coffee. Good cause. Not the easiest to find though. Head to the escalator to the trains. Seats limited.
