The food was fantastic! However, the service was a bit slow. The staff were somewhat impolite when it came to reservations and wouldn’t allow us to add another four people to our table, even though there was plenty of space available. View all feedback.
Standard pub food, executed well. Free Ella's pouches for babies and good children's menu. Great views of the lake from some tables. Highlight of two visits was the service which was without fault.
Delicious pub food (tried fish&chips, beef burger), kids menu and Ella's kitchen baby food pouches with warm station (great idea). Plus kids enjoy playing in the soft play while waiting for an order.
Had a nice meal yesterday, had the fish chips. I don't know what they're in the dough, but it was delicious. the tartaric acid sauce was also very nice. I had the white chocolate and celestial roulade dessert, that was really nice, some could find it a bit sweet, but I have a sweet tooth. the bill for 6 adult including drinks desserts was £165, which I thought was a good value. the waiter service was excellent. all in a good evening.
Ordered the beer-battery fish chips from the menu as it sounds nice. 3 of 6 of us had it and it was absolutely amazing. I said to the waitress at the end that the cod was amazing, but she said: "oh it wasn't cod it was haddock. well, that surprised me because I had previously shocked and never liked the taste in comparison to cadjau. some people say there is no difference, but some do and some even prefer squid to cod what is good. if I had seen that it was haddock, then I would not have ordered it, so I am glad that I did not because it was one, if not the best piece of broken fish I had, so I asked the waitress to hand over my compliments to the chef. at £11.49, the price was also fantastic because I fortunately paid £20 in a top restaurant for this quality. all three of us who had it were really impressed and satisfied.
Dinner service was OK, 8 adults and 8 kids so a fair amount of running around, hats off to the young guy serving us. Perfect to take kids as got a good little play area, indoor and outdoor. Had pool table area too round other side of bar but only walked past quickly. I would reccomend to anyone staying in center parcs to go.
