Our family with teens and tweens had a great meal. The mains were very generous and we couldn't fit dessert. Kids had various types of schnitzel. I had beef goulash and it was delicious. Would be nice for lunch if they serve it in the...garden. Very close to the river. View all feedback.
This restaurant was near our air bnb, so we thought we would try. the menu was varied with local specialties as well as other items such as ribeye and ravioli. we have eaten the bone mark and foie gras as well as our...entrees (ribeye, braised bark wange, porcini tagliatelle, ravioli.) we ate in the inside and were pleasantly surprised to see that they cover for guests, as it later got / cooler. the wine list was mainly local weine and the server was well visited and gave a great recommendation on the basis of our taste. apropos server. he was excellent, like all who helped our table. this meal was a highlight of the trip.
The real passion that the owner has for his business is in everything he and his associates do, from the unique wise the breakfast is served the quality of desserts. for each interaction the service was first class. I wish I had lived in Salzburg and could eat every week here.
As we were staying at the Gasthof, we had dinner in the restaurant twice. Both occasions were really enjoyable, with the menu offering a wide range of traditional dishes (goulash, schnitzel, wurst) lighter dishes like salads soups. Unfortunately there are no English menus...but our waitress was really patient in translating explaining everything for us. The beer on tap was crisp moreish while they are happy to supply tap water for the table. We had the goulash turkey schnitzel one night, both of which were generous portions freshly made. On the second visit, we had soup chicken salad. All of the salads are very yummy huge portions with a variety of pickled veg, fresh veg meat wedges cheese so definitely worth a try. We also tried the apple strudel cake (with nuts loganberry cream), both were lovely a bargain at Eur! On the second visit, there were adults children which they accommodated with no problems or fuss also made the effort to send out the children's food first. Service was prompt polite, and the food was tasty home cooked, what more could we want!
