Very worth stopping on your way from Elefonisi. This is by far the best restaurant we’ve eaten in Crete. We had beef in tomato sauce, lamb with potatoes in the oven, fried goat and vegetarian burek. The portions were big, the food was delicious, the meat was as tender as it gets, and the Cretan salad was amazing. The house wine was excellent and Irini, the owner, treated us to an extra carafe of wine. To top it off with the very reasonable bill we received free cake and raki. Unfortunate... read more A restaurant in the town on the way to Elafonisi beach. It was recommended by a shopkeeper near the hotel as good regional cuisine and little known. Unfortunately, your plans for visiting the beach also include eating at this restaurant and the other three because the buses also stop here for lunch. This makes it difficult to find a place, but after an hour it becomes empty and quiet. The cuisine was good, although not amazing, maybe because I wanted to try typical food from Crete. And it was... goat served in the form of ribs. There wasn't much food, but I wasn't hungry. The beer is good, the service is quick, although you can see the ritual and the lack of a smile.
