I've dine in from them a couple of times and I've ordered from them many times. Service is amazing on all occasions; very attentive. My food always comes out fresh and the flavor taste like home. They're quite generous; normally I can eat a lumpia in 2 bites, but their lumpia takes 3 bites, portions are bigger than most places.Food: 5/5 View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Kusina De Manila:
Ordered through Grubhub cause I 'm pregnant and not feeling like up to cooking today. Paid 17 freaking dollars for half a container of Pork Sisig. 16 bucks of Kalderata that had 4 pieces of meat. And it came to my house with no rice. Called restaurant and asked if they forgot my rice and was told it didnt come with one. I was like What??? I 've never heard of such a thing. The app didnt ask me to add rice or prompted... View all feedback.
Excellent Food and Very Friendly Workers especially for the owner tita Linda. I like their Bangus SiSig, Egg Roll, Kare-Kare, Dinuguan Pork, Lechon Kawali, Bicol Express, Halo Halo, Lumpiang Shanghai Eggrolls etc.
The food is phenomenal! A bit slow with the food but they make it by scratch. This place will not disappoint. I highly recommend! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Parking space: Plenty of parking
Before my partner and I went to dinner, I double checked as to what time they close since it’s a Sunday. I called them ahead of time and I was told it was 8:30 pm. We arrived at 7:15 pm. When my partner and I arrived for dinner, we took our seats and the QR code for the menu wasn’t scanning on our table. I thought it was something minor so I let it go. We ordered the following: large misua soup, bulalo, and beef steak. 5 minutes later, server is asking what type of topping to put on the misua soup. That was a red flag. Server should’ve asked this in the first place at the time we placed our orders. I asked the server to refill the water and she placed the pitcher on the table instead. Another red flag. Throughout this whole ordeal I asked the server if this is a new management..and she said it was. They’ve been in the business for over a year. It’s almost 8:00 pm and not sure if it was the owner, but she walked to the kitchen (we’re seated right next to it) and said how come they (us) still don’t have any food? The chef said in Tagalog they didn’t have the ingredients and they don’t have it available and waved his hand at me with a smile on his faceas if I didn’t understand Tagalog. My partner and I stood up and left the place with disgust. I said if you don’t have the stuff we ordered, what are we doing here waiting this whole time??? So my question ishow were they going to make the 3 dishes I ordered for? The broth itself (bulalo) takes over an hour to soften the meat. It’s clearly a new management now and it’s literally NIGHT AND DAY. I was extremely embarrassed because my partner who is not Filipino wants to try Filipino food and this is not a great example at all. I would’ve never visited this establishment if I knew it was going to be like this and was under a new management. The previous owners were NEVER like this!!! The new management clearly has no experience when it comes to customer service or proper basic manners. I feel like they have no experience in the business field whatsoever. It’s like watching that show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsay. My biggest advice: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE.

Currently waiting now for more than an hour to get our food. Only 2 things came from all that we ordered (4 different dishes, not a lot at all) for a 4 people. Bad bad service, not worth of your time and money. Had to ask for water after being seated 15-20 mins. I’ve never seen a restaurant and service this bad in the whole Chicago area. This doesn’t deserve to be operating. Service: Dine in
