I gave another sammys location an attempt and result is unfortunately the same. a place where they get home speciality margaritas that are watered down. and the Elgin site where they think is a steak burrito to find out what they call there quality of meat? also not my words. Modelo Negra for lunch with 4 tacos. Solid way to have a Saturday meal. Tacos were great. Service and staff both top notch.
My mother I recently visited Sammy's! We started wondering... These days we've felt adventurous, and eating at the restaurants which we did before that are finally open, again since COVID took over. FINALLY, a place that serves it up best! Fresh food, well made, served hot, servers VeRy kind, quick and friendly! Reuben, our waiter, Reuben was 10 all the way!! And he was so kind! It was great authentic Mexican food made by authentic mexican heritage. HUGE Portions! You definitely MuSt try their chips and Fresh guacamole
Easily top 5 favorite every day type of restaurant. The BEST cochinita pibil if you you’ve never had this dish, do yourself a solid and try. It has every flavor profile and if you can’t handle spicy, the habanero sauce is always by request, on the side, because it’s that potent! (I always order without) They have fresh and tasty salsa and chips, margs are good but could be a little stronger for the size good variety and very refreshing and tasty. The staff and service whether it’s dine in or pick up has always been friendly and prompt.
Loved it here drinks are on point service is great and the food is fresh and delicious. Very attentive to our needs and the prices are all worth it. Margaritas highly recommended!
Love Sammy's and have been going there since 2013 when they opened in W. Elgin off route 20 on just a smallllll lot in the strip mall. Reasonable prices, solid service with some servers still there since I began going. It's our go to in the area. Not only for Mexican cuisine but altogether Always delicious, Sammy's keep up the great work
