Great food, drinks, and service. Try the Smoke Show cocktail. It's one of their best drinks. Love the chips with the salsa trio. Try the Arroz con Pollo, it's a winner. The birria tacos are wonderful. Great spot for Happy Hour. View all feedback.
What Chamber Pot doesn't like about Sausal:
The manager is rude and while I was there I watched her assault a man with a camera on the street. The person was on the corner of the intersection on the sidewalk and I think she was upset because the police told her that he was ok to film his travel blog. When she was walking past him going back to the restaurant she grabbed his camera and pushed him. I guess the food was good, had to pay for the chips and salsa bu... View all feedback.
I have eaten here at least 10 times or more and I have always had an exceptional meal and great service. Some of my fav dishes are simple like their chicken pozole soup and the beef brisket barbacoa taco for $6.50 is a meal itself. Currently, my fav dish is the duck enchiladas w Black Mole Sauce that includes mole covered braised duck with oaxaca cheese, goat cheese, butternut squash pepitas, chili de arbol salsa and sesame seeds. It is sooo good! I encourage you to give this place a try!
Had the empanadas and Chile verde. The verde had and amazing spice/flavor combination. The empanadas were good but the salsa/pico used made the dish exceptional. Had the sangria and a margarita, neither of which were so good that I would recommend over the beer selection.
Excellent all the way around! Fab drinks, food and service. I devoured the brussel sprouts (oh and my incredible **** Mary! ha ha) and could hardly finish the rest of my meal but it was even great the next day as to-go food. Went with 4 friends, everyone had something different and we all raved about the food. Superb service as well. Nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!
I'm never a big fan of trendy style restaurants but this place rocks. Don't expect an inexpensive menu unless you arrive during happy hour. I ordered the Chili Verde plate which is my favorite thing to order at a Mexican restaurant, and it comes with blue corn tortillas. This was by far one of the best Chili Verde dishes I have ever tried. The one drawback was the A/C being on inside with open air windows on such a beautiful day, we almost froze inside.
Perfection on every level. The food is a brilliant flavor explosion and the staff is really fabulous. They work well as a team which imply a the culture is positive. The Pork Chili Verde is the best I have ever had.
