Went here to celebrate a birthday. Service was a bit slow, but the staff was friendly and helpful. The miso soup was tasty but very salty. Ordered several types of sushi, they were all beautifully arranged. Very eye appealing and delicious. Had the chicken teppanyaki, tasty but the vegetables were very salty and chicken dry. We had some lychee saki and fried cheesecake. They were delicious and we had a lot of fun, re... View all feedback.
What Mia Hart doesn't like about Makoto Sushi Grill:
This place looks closed now since I passed by the widows were covered with brown paper no lights on! People should support more locally owned businesses not corporate greedy businesses. The owners/management also need to care about the quality of food good customer service. I've seen too many locally owned restaurants close down not enough support or why the business failed! Overall experience of @katsura_zaragoza was really good. Now I will be honest not everything is for everyone but it still is fun to explore but it's important to be clear on what you're ordering as there should not be a mix up. The customer service first off is amazing and the fact that if by chance there is any possible issue it can be discussed and the management take you serious. I appreciate the one on one. They are doing pretty well cleaning wise. Luckily most of their orders are take out and believe me it's super #worth it!!! Eating at home; I'm sure can be just as as fun. #sushi #rolls #japanesecuisine #shareable #pricey #specials Possible Appetizer 1. Miso Y'all I believe this is probably the best miso I've ever had it's not salty the nori (seaweed is chopped up small the tofu are cute little cubes and the salt is perfect! Definitely say yes if they offer. 2. Bamboo Roll Don't even know how to express I'm not a big raw fish fan you know I stay normally along the lines of fried rolls but I cannot kid you. This was amazing not fishy although there is definitely salmon and the eel sauce, spicy mayo and soy sauce were definitely a touch extra that cannot go wrong. Easy to eat swallow the roll was a great size shareable but you can also eat it on your own if it's all you're getting.Definitely recommend and I will get again for sure. 3. Sea Snake This will be the first time I truly believe more than 2 dishes are meant to be. If you're unsure definitely try this especially if it's your first time the eel sauce helps so so much. It's a little sweet and with the mix of the ingredients it just is ok point. Easy to eat swallow the roll was a great size shareable but you can also eat it on your own if it's all you're getting. Just as before recommend and I will get again no doubt. The Entree Dishes Dish 1: Chicken Yakiniku Rice is to die for as soon as you top it off with soy sauce or eel sauce it gets even 1000 times better it's a straight 100 on its own not salty so you can season it yourself and or just mix with your chicken which I did. Now I will confess I don't think I got to enjoy this as much just because I was pretty full but it was good I would recommend even to share or maybe get as a dish maybe a child can eat. Recommend for a first timer. Dish 2: Yakisoba with Beef You love beef flavor and some salt this is for you it's pretty saucy but not like dripping wet. Full of flavor does have red cabbage so a surprise that someone who doesn't normally eat it likes it. If you want the cabbage softer I would request to see if they can cook it a bit more. It's a bit crunchy compared to the rest of the dish. The sauce is definitely something you can expect if you've thought of how Yakisoba tastes through documentaries or stalls at a festival. Dish 3: Tempura Veggies Anything fried tastes pretty darn good especially veggies. I love these and cannot complain. I'm not a fan of bell peppers but you can always share with someone that can enjoy so no biggie. I love how it's not over salty on batter and they give you a side of sauce to poor or dip the pieces in. I recommend if you like a side with your rolls. Beware though you may get addicted. It does come with fresh cabbage so only recommendation may be to ask them to boil it or you can save it and make coleslaw at home if you're not a fan of it raw like me. Final dish/appetizer: Cucumber Specialty. (This item was not something we ordered as there was a mix up. I'm going to be honest. I tried one piece and my mom half a piece. Now I love cucumbers but I don't like things that taste a lot like tuna or anything that has big fishy taste. Though I recommend if you are a fishy fan and I mean really enjoy fish then I recommend it if you don't you may want to stay away. The cucumber tasted fresh and the inside was definitely a texture to behold.
Amazing Food! Our Waitress Jackie Was awesome and super sweet. No long wait for our food. Will be back to Visit. The Salad's are a must try.
I ordered Uber eats, missing sirloin on the potato and the queso nacho. The Chuco jrs hamburger was so charred and unable to eat. Save your money and go somewhere else
Food had great flavor. I ordered the costillas and they were seasoned just right. My husband had the Campechana tacos, he liked them so much that he ordered another order of tacos before we left!
