El Sombrero - El Monte

I've been going to Sombrero for over 20 years and everything's still the same. The food is great, the salsa is good. It can use an updated look, but overall it is good Mexican food.

Let me just say you get what you pay for? Yea this place is affordable for events but the catering is awful. My daughter was going away to college so we had her a dinner.. they were so unattractive we had to ask for drinks for our guests multiple times they took plates from our guest when they weren’t done eating … they turned off the air conditioning on us an hour before we had to leave kicking out my guest so quick to collect money there was no bar tender attendant knowing they had a function… No apologies…. Never again I didn’t even have a big function but still the service was horrible

El Sombrero Mexican Restaurant is a great place to enjoy accommodates large family groups has many great Mexican traditional dishes and excellent service. We enjoyed chicken mole, pork chops, and a wet carnitas burrito that was so mouth watering delicious.

Great family owned place. Tasty food. Great service! Food is on point. Staff goes above and beyond!

Had my 70th birthday celebration there last Saturday. We had a big turnout. All my band of brothers that I invited showed up and our family members. It was a reunion as well, we haven’t seen each other for some years. The food was delicious, but the service could have been better. I would recommend El Sombrero restaurant to anyone. We had a little over 80 guests. Thank you and God bless
