Tyler R is what gave this place a 5 star. Food was average for smokehouse. Tyler was quick and polite. He had great service skills. Food came out quickly and was hot. Food had a smoke flavor to it bit tasted like liquid smoke was added to enhance flavor. Beans and potato salad had good flavor. Keep up the good work Tyler. My favorite thing is beef ribs. SL BBQ dos a great job and brings you a slab hanging over both sides of the plate. The meat is juicy and messy and good. Damn, I like the place.
Great BBQ in Sunland Park and fun to sit in a booth well waiting for your food to look at all the advertisements used as wall paper.
The flavor was outstanding, but portions were small, especially on the protein side. Salad was not as good. Bread is a must, really good. We tried salmon and 5 a meat dish and definitely the best. The place has a good atmosphere, some old stuff that can be restored, especially the chicago coin band box, that will make a good attraction for people. Staff was ok too, not on the friendly side but always willing to help if you need. The place is definitely an obligated stop in El paso if you want to enjoy good food. I will be coming back for margaritas. Those are one of the few well done I have tried in El paso. Last but not least, the price is better than expected, not on the expensive side but in the correct amount for what you received. I definitely recommend this place.
Dry brisket, salmon not cooked thoroughly, soda was old tasting and tea was odd. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
The famous State Line. It is located in Texas before New Mexico. Opened in 1975, they still bring the delicious BBQ. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
