The restaurant has a cute bar area, but some reviews mention issues with noise and cleanliness. Regardless, the wings and potato skins are recommended dishes, along with the famous Gold Cadillac drink. The ribs are a standout menu item, with perfectly cooked meat and delicious sides. The atmosphere at Poor Red's is described as friendly and welcoming, with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Overall, it's a great local dive with good food, drinks, and a unique atmosphere that keeps customers coming back for more.

Well, I haven't been here for a long time. They turned the parking lot into the heart of the establishment. Many people. I like this place. Looking forward to dinner.
We visited fairly early on a Saturday on a comfortable day in October. We found ample parking in the back of the restaurant, and we even parked in a shady spot. There was an updated stairway leading to Poor Red's lanai, where we chose to sit with our dog (yes! Dog-friendly lanai! . Our waitress, I believe her name was Brittany (it's been a couple of weeks, so forgive me if I've gotten it wrong was warm and welcoming. I ordered a rack of ribs (so I'd have plenty to take home , garlic fries, and I simply had to try one of their famous Gold Cadillacs (invented here! . It was tasty. The ribs were perfect: soft with enough of a bite, sauce not too hot, not too sweet, a good rub, and just enough smoke. I had ribs for lunch for days! My husband had a burger, cooked well, which is his usual go-to meal. Oddly enough although he always orders it this way, 9 times out of 10 at other restaurants, this burger is served to him very pink, even red, inside and he has to send it back for more cooking. Not at Red's. His burger was perfectly cooked, his fries were sublime, not those nasty dried-out shoestring fries that have become du jour, but proper crisp-on-the-outside-soft-the- inside fries. We asked for a side of mayonnaise and one of horseradish (we dip our fries in them, yeah, pretty much Belgian/German , and the horseradish was perfect--tasty and hot--and they served us real mayo. Even the condiments matter at Poor Red's. If you eat meat, GO HERE! Kid-friendliness: Both dog- and kid-friendly lanai. We enjoyed hearing kids talking and

So I have to admit I have only been here once. In all my time as an EDC resident, it's taken over a decade for me to visit this bar. The food is incredible and the outdoor seating area is great! Even in a warm day when I was there, the tables are covered so it helped keep the heat at bay. If you have never been, definitely check it out! There is an indoor bar and an outdoor bar. I highly recommend the Cadillac drink there are different options for flavors too. Service is amazing and the staff is friendly. Highly recommend!
