What Jolsongoude doesn't like about North Harbour Bistro Tearoom:
We came here with another couple for dinner. The food was terrific. There were a couple of things that soured us on the experience, though. Firstly, it was cash only. That was kind of surprising for a high-end restaurant, but no big deal. Fortunately, the couple we dined with knew and informed us in advance. The more annoying policy was the chef 's starter/mains policy. I wasn 't terribly hungry, so for my meal I wan... View all feedback. What Duncan Bell likes about North Harbour Bistro Tearoom:
Unquestionably the best meal I have had in my entire life. The seafood chowder was practically a meal by itself. The presentation was incredible all-throughout. Every dish was well balanced in flavour and texture. You will not find better seafood anywhere in all of Scotland. View all feedback.

read moreThe North Harbour Bistro on the Isle of Scalpay may have a modest exterior and casual atmosphere, but the food served here is nothing short of exceptional. Visitors can expect top-quality fish and seafood dishes that rival those of high-end restaurants in London. Despite some minor inconveniences like cash-only payment and slow service, the fantastic meals and friendly staff make North Harbour Bistro a must-visit for anyone exploring the Western Isles. Overall, this hidden gem offers a dining experience that exceeds expectations, making it a top recommendation for those looking for exquisite seafood cuisine in a relaxed setting.
Fantastic mainly fish restaurant. Presentation, flavour and texture all Superb food in unpretentious bistro.
I doubt you could find better or fresher sea food on the island. Great imaginative dishes and superb friendly staff.
