Another fine Chinatown restaurant that I have been frequenting my entire life. I've been coming here since it first ever opened and been with it for almost all its renovations. A nice place for Chinese food and a mix of western dishes like baked spaghetti and steak. The interior of this place is a big step up from when it first opened. The food here hasn't changed much and that's a good thing. Prices are very fair, t... View all feedback.
What Judy Hettinger doesn't like about Taipan Cafe:
I drove my son to school in the evening time and decided to try theTaipan cafe, which I have not visit for sometime. I looked at the menu mostly Cantonese food and some western dishes for morning breakfast only. The beef noodle soup and wanton noodle was only 8 dollars very cheap compare at other restaurant which was about 9 to 11 dollars. The order came quickly ,also very tasty. View all feedback.
One of me goes over the years to Chinese places. this place has such a big menu, no matter what you're asking. some of my dishes are seafood laksa, bark brisket curry, and salt and pfeffersquid (growing part for the price compared to other places of the city.) eating comes fast and and and.
Really good Chinese cuisine on the upper scale to not bad trips. I had the curry fish with steamed rice for $12,50 and it was amazing. not too sharp, dear as they are late open. menu is super long with so many decisions, so everyone can find something they like. service was fast and pleasant. overall would recommend everyone who loves Asian cuisine.
Do not eat at this restaurant it has been closed down for numerous Health violations you will definitely get sick if you eat here
I stopped in for lunch today. It is a nice clean restaurant. The service was prompt and efficient. I ordered a lunch Special B. It was a generous size and it was good. All around solid food and service, nothing special, but good.
It's been about five years since I last ate here because the last time the food and portions left a lot to be desired. Glad to see that there is a positive change. Ordered Singapore noodle but on a flat rice noodle rather than vermicelli. It was very good in content egg, shrimp, Chinese sausage, BBQ pork, onion etc. but a little lacking in full curry taste. Next time I'll ask if they could make it more spicey. The Fish and Tofu on noodle dish was very good. Nicely dressed with fresh vegetables and mushrooms. This is an excellent place to take guests who want more than Mall Chinese food but are not ready to go full blown authentic.
