I met a friend for Saturday morning breakfast at 9, we sat outside and had the best meal / experience. The restaurant was busy, the peasant market lived and well just feet away from us. We had amazing service from the entire staff and everyone in the neighborhood was out and out, and in good mood. Freshly squeezed orange juice, 6 different types of coffee cake to choose as an appetizer, main dishes are all local sour... View all feedback.
What Mark Evans doesn't like about Rusty Pelican Cafe Edmonds Inc:
The prices have become too high for what you receive. The portion of fish is now 50% less than when the restaurant first opened. Overall, the cost is not justified based on the quality and quantity of the food. I ordered takeout, but I still feel it’s overpriced. View all feedback.
Good spot for breakfast. I'll admit we didn't stray too far off the norm for breakfast...went with crepes, pancakes and waffles. Didn't try the Benedicts which they are known for. Only four stars as my waffles were on the cooler side on arrival, but everything tasted great and service was top notch. Wait on a busy weekend was only about 20 minutes, so enjoy a stroll around Edmonds while you wait...
This is a great local restaurant to get some really good breakfast from. Super popular so plan ahead. The staff were all amazing and really enjoyed our time here. The food was hot and fresh that would not disappoint anyone. The other thing is there is something for everyone on the menu. Don't pass this place without trying them out. Give a thumbs up to help others.
Fantastic food. I highly recommend it! Cool sidewalk seating... with heat Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fish Chips
The high rating is because the food is incredible. If it was based on the food alone, it would be 5 stars. However, being able to only sit outside is such a bummer. I absolutely love sitting outside during the summer and fall, even on crisp cold days but sometimes I end up skipping market strictly because I'm not dressed to sit outside. It is covered and clean, but it's a small area and space is often lacking when it's busy. I've only ever used the window service and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. My favorite thing on the menu is the lobster bisque. I now live out of town, but will drive to Edmonds strictly for that bread bowl. The soup is creamy, flavorful, and filled with large chunks of juicy lobster meat. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've had on the menu, but this menu item blows them all out of the water in my opinion.
Perfection in every way. Food is exquisite, service is excellent and I love the origin story and history.
