Cocktails were very well done, the food was very tasty, and the server was very friendly. However, my girlfriend and I both got food poising. We called into the restaurant to let them know, but were quickly dismissed. The staff member who picked up the phone was obviously not interested in hearing our issue, quickly shoeing us off of the phone and not taking our contact info before hanging up. A disappointing experience, and would definitely think twice about going back. UPDATE: The manager reached out and apologized for our experience. She assured to us that she holds the restaurant and staff to a higher standard than what we experienced, and she encouraged us to give Epulo another chance by giving us a generous gift card (a very kind gesture). Although our first experience was subpar, management seems on top of things and is very professional. We will certainly be giving Epulo another try, after which I will update this review again. For the time being, I am updating my rating to 4 stars due to such a positive experience with management.
One of the most enjoyable lunches in a long time! most welcome feeling from the start Deborah was the best! i fact everyone was on It ! can.t wait to return, just everything was covered so well made It such a great afternoon together
Food and service were excellent. The wine list was laughable with very pedestrian wines for over inflated prices. The $40 per bottle corkage fee was truly exorbitant given the paltry wine list and complete lack of wine service. We opened our own bottle and poured our own wine. All they did was provide glassware. I suggest they either expand their wine list with more notable offerings or reduce their corkage fee to a reasonable amount for the area, such as $20.
How disappointing! The roasted vegetable appetizer had squash that was hard as a rock (uncooked) and was overall bland. My partner's risotto was al dente and also bland/under seasoned. The best part of our meal was the petit filet which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The garlic mashed potatoes were ok, as were the measly 3 pieces of asparagus. Even our drinks weren't on spot both too sweet/weak pours. First and last visit for us and we certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
