While some praised the Sunday lunch offer for its superb value and fantastic food choices, others found the atmosphere lacking and the service inconsistent. The food, however, received high marks overall, with particular recommendations for dishes like chicken or duck, and praise for the beautiful presentation and taste of the meals. Despite some hiccups with service and presentation, many diners agreed that Hotel du Vin is a great option for a fine dining experience, especially for special occasions. With an extensive menu and an elegant setting, this bistro is worth a visit for those looking for a memorable dining experience in Edinburgh.
The Hotel Du Vin is located at the end of a beautiful tree lined col-de-sac in the West End of Glasgow near the University.
Besides delicious food, beautiful decor and gracious service, the hotel is VERY good to parents of small children and babies.

I've been to the bistro hotel du vin a few times, and I have to say that they're just getting better and better. her spring/summer menu is by far the most beautiful thing I tried and the service is on point. the menu "prix fixe" is full of joy, so join me as I take you through the menu. 2 courses for £19.95 or 3 courses for £24.95 means they will change a lot to enjoy some of their fabulous wee.
Fantastic lunch here on holy evening. I had the fig and stylton galette starter, butternut gerste risotto main and profiterole desert. Eat and service were error-free and I only gave 4.5 not 5 because it was very expensive. £110 for lunch for 2! three courses with coffee 2 softdrinks 2 beer and 3 page orders. definitely worth a visit if you want to wash yourself and have a really great lunch!
