Good food and very friendly service. Was the first sunny Sunday in ages in Edinburgh so most people were outside enjoying the weather and therefore not many people dining. Everyone enjoyed the food and the music. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Urban Fox:
it was so likely not an exact representation as the place is really, but we have booked a table for 6.45, came around 6.50 , told them we had a show in the summer hall near 7.50 so we are in a hurry, our wee took 20 minutes to come that food arrived despite remembrance around 7.35 , the steak ordered medium was rare View all feedback.
A great and unexpected find. Visited one Friday evening and there was very much a Friday vibe happening, perhaps such that if you were looking for a quiet meal, you may need a rethink but it suited us. Served by Ali who was super friendly, attentive and efficient despite the number of tables to attend to, amazing. As a first time visit there was no real expectation but all food was beyond great, with call outs specifically for the tempura prawns and belly pork. Sumptuous. Great evening.
This spot is great for casual drinks and relaxed dining. The food was really tasty and good value. I enjoyed the quirky decor which was an ode to the name! My daughter and I were served by Liam who was very attentive and gave us very good service. Will certainly be back as this is super local to me.
Pleasant surroundings, lovely staff, excellent service, great food. Decent range of beers as well. Well located for Summerhall (we were going to a show) and Queens Hall. If you're look for somewhere to eat around Newington/Meadows/causewayside, look now further. We loved it.
Can’t describe how bad the service we had here was. The staff made 3 females very uncomfortable. Couldn’t have been worse. 0 stars
The restaurant is very much a neighbourhood kind of place, it was friendly and welcoming, Staff were accommodating and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. We ate there twice once around lunch time and had an amazing all day Scottish Breakfast, The 2nd time was for Dinner and again, the food was amazing, generous and the staff again, friendly and informative. Please go along, you wont be disappointed
