We stay regularly with friends in portobello and always make time for a visit to the forest hosts. they serve good quality pub grub and the service is always friendly and welcoming. once after a six nation Rugby match, we cried unannounced in the pub, in the hope in vain to a meal for what was a great party. they would have just turned us away as they had a full pub and restaurant, but instead they offered us the beach huts in the beer garden, which turn on lights and heating and served us warm tasty eating. worth a visit!
Came today about this big pub when they look for somewhere, the accepted dogs (although dogs free areas were available). Happy, a table during the busy Sunday afternoon afternoon afternoon, fantastic steak, seasoned to perfection great friendly pub full charm, we will definitely be back soon!

Not that Portobello's The Guild of Foresters could be in any way be described as being second rate. Quite the reverse. Nestling at the more
