This restaurant in the food court of Mitsuwa NJ serves katsu, udon, and curry. The katsu was good, but the udon was the standout dish. I will definitely be returning for more of their delicious udon noodles. Overall, I rate the food a 5 out of 5. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wateishoku Kaneda:
I ordered the pork katsudon for takeout, but unfortunately they did not inform me that they were out of their usual container. To make matters worse, the dish did not have the usual crispy breading. Overall, I would rate the food 1 out of 5. View all feedback.
I always get the boiled chicken cutlet plate and grilled fish and curry dishes. For $12 this is a very fair meal and always tastes great. Be careful if you are ordering grilled fish items from the self help tablet. One time I ordered and it took over 20 minutes for my order to be called and eventually I found out that there was no more grilled fish and the kiosk doesn't know to reject your order. The cafeteria staff always keep the cafeteria clean too.
I’ve had a variety from them, the beef curry udon and beef bowls are my go-tos. Most recently I had their karaage chicken and it was the juiciest piece of fried chicken. The curry is delicious and the meat is cooked well. The soup and sides they include are well portioned. The meals are good quality and consistent. I would enjoy eating here any day of the week.
The food is fine here good to grab lunch, the curry udon is goodFood: 4/5
This beef bowl was so such a hit for me and got me really full and wanted more after I walked around the store. It has pieces of fat in it with the beef but it was so good … usually I don’t like it. I gave the red pickled ginger a try and mixing it throughly with the rice meat gives it a whole new taste. I also had miso soup it came with seaweed and chopped green onions but no tofu : so that was a bit disappointing. The k dog wasn’t bad at all just expected to be bigger than it was. Bring your drink just in case because the variety of drinks were not it. It was water and Diet Coke for the moment I went.
I love that they have a self checkout station here. There were 7 groups in front of me waiting to order for dinner time—normally that means a long wait. I waited a little and decided to check around for seats and that’s when I found the self checkout screen NEXT to the register where everyone orders. So instead of waiting in line for 20 minutes and not being able to see the menu because people are blocking it, you can see the items at the self checkout screen. My order came out in under 10 minutes. That means under 15 minutes to get your food AT MITSUWA. In the past, the Mitsuwa food court has been a nightmare but this makes it easy, quick, and even more enjoyable than before. Thank you Kaneda!
