I visited the restaurant for an early dinner on a rainy Saturday after seeing a movie. Our waitress, Destinee, was friendly and did an excellent job of quickly bringing us our food and drinks. I ordered a salad with boiled ingredients, which was generously topped with ham and turkey cheese. My husband had the Big Dog, and it was prepared exactly as he requested. View all feedback.
What Tammy Yoder doesn't like about Governor's Pub:
I ordered a Bloody Mary, but it was overloaded with horseradish, making it taste more like shrimp cocktail. I could only take three sips before I couldn't continue. I spoke with the manager, who mentioned that she had tasted it that morning and found it to be fine. We were up visiting family and it was suggested we go to there for dinner. Not knowing much about the area we agreed to go. There was 7 of us and asked if we could all sit together the answer came back as a no. We had to sit at different tables. It's not your typical eaterie. Being in a building with many stores it was rather long and not wide. None the less we stayed. The food was very good and I wish we had fries like that back home. Service: Dine in
Food was superb and the new waitress Kaitlynn (hope I spelled that right) did her job perfectly. She spoke to my wife and I like she had known us for years. Diet coke 2/3 ice about 7 oz glass. Refills 1 00 with original cost 2.00. We eat out about once a week in Edenton. Will mark this off our list. Insulting to charge for a refill of less than 3 oz of Pepsi after the ice. So 3.00 for about 6 to 7 oz of Pepsi after one refill Great Robin, but we will eat elsewhere Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50
This place should be busier!!! Someone recommended this place and said try the onion rings, but they were out. We were not disappointed with the fried pickles instead! The mushroom Swiss burger was good. The chicken tenders are huge and delicious. House chips>French fries. The ranch is *chef's kiss* 10/10 highly recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
