Franklins Tavern - East Victoria Park

Nice staff can't do enough for you. I had a groupon voucher for the steak it was very nice and great portion size. Great range of on tap beer. Bring back the groupon voucher and i will be back. Thank you

We discovered Franklin's via Groupon and were originally very impressed and have been back multiple times since. Unfortunately our last visit has thoroughly convinced us to NEVER set foot in Franklin's again. The service was the worst I have ever received. When asked what the pie of the day was the bar lady responded with "I don't know" after having to be asked a couple more times she grudgingly went to the kitchen to find out. Then upon ordering drinks she tried to charge $10.50 for a tequila and orange when from previous visits we know they are $7. After some argument she finally relented with "well as your a disgruntled customer I guess I have to give it to you for $7". On top of that when the food arrived it was very disappointing and I was put off even further when cockroaches were noticed crawling up the walls. Then to top off the evening when I went back to get another tequila and orange another lady tried to charge me $8 claiming the price had been put up earlier that week. Needless to say we all felt the bar staff were attempting to rip us off and pocket the extra cash! We will never be back again!

I've been here quite a few times so this is a broad review. The last real oldschool pub left in Perth. Pub TAB, Pool table with a lot of action, live sports, pub grub ranging from $10-20 and pints consistently on special and under $10. Plenty of bar banter with the locals and wenches and home of the SOR Liverpool supporters club too so when there's a game on it gets packed out. Great night if you're hanging with the lads and want to sink a few, and not bad either in the bistro on a weekend night for a cheap couples feed. The price undercuts the value and atmosphere as the East Vic Park strip is really picking up. Get the lamb shanks for $16... Best on ground.

I love this place. Great pub food at old fashioned prices. Nothing fancy which is a good change, im sick of paying for fancy lighting and decked out tables !
