This family-owned Vietnamese restaurant has transitioned to a fully plant-based menu while maintaining its authenticity. The vegan pho was arguably the best dish I've had so far; it could have used a bit more tofu, but it was otherwise rich, aromatic, and satisfying. In this area of London, where there are plenty of excellent Vietnamese restaurants, this one stands out a bit brighter for its compassion and warmth. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sen Viet Vegan:
The meal was decent, but nothing to rave about. We tried the President bun cha and the tofu coconut curry with crackers. The bun cha was enjoyable, but at £12.90, it wasn't quite filling enough. The curry was tasty, but it felt like it was missing something. The crackers were pleasant. They do offer a 10% discount during lunchtime. At £12-£14 for a dish, the quality isn't that impressive. The food was really delicious, but on the bottom it was not spicy enough! I ordered the spicy noodle soup and it was only spiced! we also ordered the pork dish that had a very realistic texture and delicious sauce. and the taste and texture of the salt and chili tofu was quite good. were much big. my main criticism would be that the prices of the courts are quite high. especially the supplements £9 for some fried vegetables!? it has me from the ordering of extras that was a scandal as I would have loved to try them. the ambiente des ortes was nicely cozy and cute. it was really busy (both with hipsters and Vietnamese people) which is obviously a good sign. would definitely visit again, but could try other options first based on the price question.
Because it was that good! I love Vietnamese food so of course I had to come into one of London’s top rated (I hate that the sort by most reviewed was replaced with top rated, btw. Please add back sort by most reviewed, HappyCow) restaurants. I ordered some vegetable rolls with mustard sauce, summer rolls, and spicy noodle soup. The rolls tasted good but both sauces that accompanied them was not enough for the serving. The spicy noodle soups was one of the best vegan Vietnamese spicy noodle soups that I’ve had. Everything about it screamed flavor. I arrived to a jam-packed restaurant and was told there was a 10 minute wait, 10 minutes is what I waited. You will do yourself a disservice not coming here.
Tried for the first time and was so happy! Definitely will come back to try more as I was not too hungry on that day. The menu is pretty large and great for sharing plates together with mates. Very nice staff and atmosphere with the most adorable tables: Came back few months later to end up with the same soup as before because it was so delicious. This time we had also the aubergine meal and it was, as expected, very tasty. The service was extremely fast and friendly. Updated from previous review on 2022-05-01
There were really unique options. Very flavourful food! Though the food was delicious, the prices were quite higher than other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and they charge a fee per person to byob which is not common. I liked the food though I am not sure I would return with so many amazing options in London.
They removed the mock meat dishes from the menu since I last visited but tofu and veggies absolutely do the job. The food was just as amazing as before if not even better!
