We were a few miles away and decided to eat here. the location and environment at the front were beautiful. the pub was quite busy, but there were some tables available. I asked if we could have a chances table, 4. covers and a little friendly dog. a dame behind the bar said that there is a table and no dogs are allowed. we decided to park our car in front of the window where our table was so that we could keep our dog in the eye while we ate. it was cloudy and the temperature outside was cool. our dog was quickly asleep after a long day of going. we ordered our food and waited. some of the employees seemed unfriendly, we felt like we were an inconvenience for them. we saw that a worker had a zigarette break in front of the door. the meals arrived. To be honest, we paid almost £70.00 for our meals and they were not worth definitiw. the steaks were hard. the salat garnishes were devastated. it was all inconspicuous. No one came and checked us during our meals. when I asked for more drinks, it was such an effort for the personal. I felt like getting them. no one smiled no one said thank you for our use. a shame. a simple smile and thank you for going away a long one. also a designated area for dogs in the bar would be wonderful for dog owners. If the weather had been hot, we wouldn't have stayed.

We stopped at this place, en route, in our home. we always ring in advance as we have a dog to make sure that the local dogs are friendly we were told that dogs could go to the half of the pub, but not the other we were. also electric hook-up at £10 for the night offered at the arrival we entered the pub and one voice called us: “You can’t bring your dog in here. we turned around to a very insulting lady who said she had not allowed dogs for 2 years!. when we said we would have refused to believe ourselves in advance when we had a drink before we went to our food, we could not drive away, so we had to order food to eat in the home, and when it was collected, she charged us £15 for the electric plug. we were not happy to be given false information and to be charged 50% above the quoted price to be fair, the fish and chips we ordered were nice, but around £40 for the night was sheer extortion
The pub serves delicious, straightforward food. The staff are friendly and the menu offers a wide selection of options. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. We both enjoyed our meals from the specials menu.
