Botts Coffee Shop - East Lindsey

My wife and I frequently visit this restaurant on our way to Lincoln. Since undergoing renovations some time ago, we have seen a significant improvement in the menu. Although the food and service were always good, the cafe/restaurant has now taken it up a notch. We are pleased with the progress they have made.

The service at this establishment is inconsistent, as mentioned by a previous customer. Some staff members are friendly and professional, while others lack basic customer service skills. The quality of drinks and food can also vary - sometimes the lattes and mochas are full, other times they are only half-filled, and the toast and tea cakes may be undercooked. Prices have increased recently, possibly to cover recent changes, but not all customers feel the value is there. The staff can be slow to clean and clear tables, with weekend staff showing more attentiveness to these tasks. Unfortunately, some regular customers, including those who spent a significant amount each week, have chosen to take their business elsewhere due to these issues. Despite feedback being provided to the staff, improvements have yet to be seen. As a result, we will also be exploring other options for our morning coffee outings.

I hadn't visited Botts in a while because it had become a bit repetitive, but I heard they had made some changes so I decided to give them another chance. I was pleasantly surprised. They have gotten rid of the wooden spoons with the order numbers that always seemed to fall down, and instead have numbers on the tables. The daily specials are more unique now, with a vegetarian soup and two vegetarian main dishes that stand out. I tried the stuffed red peppers with roasted new potatoes and it was delicious! They also have a server who checks in during the meal to make sure everything is okay, which is great customer service. I definitely recommend trying Botts out.

Botts Coffee Shop is a relaxing place to go with good car parking and nice refurbished interior and friendly staff. The Breakfasts are good and excellent value the only niggle is that they do not do a Veggie Breakfast which is a shame, we have asked in the past, but staff did not seem keen to do one. The Toasties are excellent and are one of the many good food choices on offer. Botts is worth a visit if in the area.

My husband and stepdaughter and son in law go to botts for breakfast when we can and I can say honestly it is great !!! They use fresh local produce where they can myers bread etc and it is lovely you get bacon egg cooked to your choice sausage beans and hash browns and fresh tomato then 2 slices of toast and either tea or coffee which ever you prefer all for 4.99 per person fantastic is all I can say . So treat yourself and go and try it you won't be disappointed !!!!
