Harrison Roadhouse - East Lansing

This is a standard, American-style pub, and it stands out not because the food is exceptionally great but because the menu has the standards as well as some nice originals for a change of pace. We tried the Cheddar Stout Dip, for example, and while it wasn't as flavorful as the name implies, it's yummy, warm, fast, and unlike the cheese dip you'll get anywhere else. We also had chicken fries and fish chips, and the fries were deliciously seasoned, though the meats looked like something bought and frozen somewhere else. Organic seating inside with lots of seating outside, and plenty of TVs to watch the big game.

Service and food were very lacking. Overcharged for food we never got. The flatbread is a joke with microwaved chicken thrown on too of grocery bread.

You would think for a roadhouse their best meal would be the sirloin. However, I asked for medium and my steak came out well done. The seasonal vegetables were clearly just out of a frozen bag with no seasoning and the potato skins were tough and had no flavor. You know a steak is not cooked well if you have to douse it in A1 and I didn 't even finish it. The drinks were subpar as well. The service was good and the vibe was so nice! I was so disappointed, everything was good until the food came out. Will not be returning here.

This is my first time at this restaurant I have to say the service is terrible. The waitress was very nice respectful, this is 100% the kitchens fault. We were one of the only people in the restaurant not only did it take 40+ min to get our food, everyone's food came out at different times. By the time half of my party was done eating, the other half didn't even receive their food yet. Besides the service, the food was pretty good. I have to say, we are disappointed.
