The kind of place that needs to stay open in lockdown, as the experience there is so good for the soul. We were two strangers to the area in search of tea and sustenance, and couldn’t have felt more at home or as if we were locals. Sarah and Kelly beamed and joked and were just charming. The BLT sandwiches were wonderful. Such a shame they are now closed. Every town needs a Something Lovely. View all feedback.
What cjftsh doesn't like about Something Lovely Tea Rooms:
I am disappointed with my recent experience at this restaurant. I visited for breakfast on Saturday morning for the first time and was told there was no room upstairs, but that there were tables available in the basement. The basement area was freezing cold and had a damp smell, with no other customers present. We decided to go back upstairs and informed the staff that we would not be staying due to the cold temperat... View all feedback.
I often pop in here with friends or with my kids and you are always assured of a warm welcome and lovely freshly cooked food whether it's a cooked breakfast, sandwich or the beautiful home baked cakes, never disappointed with the fantastic range of teas and the coffee is lovely too, totally recommend this place. The service is excellent and the staff are just lovely
Kerry runs the something lovely tea room in Puckeridge. It is a beautiful quirky tea room with the most exquisite cakes and pastries all home-made. They always make me the most perfect mushrooms on toast and I haven’t met a person who hasn’t enjoyed this five star experience in probably the best tea room in Hertfordshire. She is a bully assisted by Sara who is a brilliant cook and like Kerry a lovely lively individual. The choice of specialist teas is 2nd to none, And you won’t find anything better in the south of England.
I love going here and often take friends its everything a country tea room should be. Friendly staff, quirky yet homely decor and a delicious choice of cakes baked daily. If more than 3 or 4 suggest booking we sat recently downstairs which is charming and playful a kids party area recently. Excellent coffee and caring owner Kerry gave my niece a little bag of the tea she enjoyed thats above and beyond.
Myself and the children I nanny for love Something Lovely!
I stop here regularly when out cycling with friends and can honestly say this is my favourite place for coffee, cakes and bacon butties for miles and miles around. The people working here are always really friendly and ready to help, and I have always had top quality food here. The aforementioned bacon buttie is easily the best that I have tasted on my travels believe me...we've tried loads!! and Harry knows how to make the best hot chocolate extra cream and marshmallows! . I would highly recommend stopping here for a drink and a cake...well worth it.
