Took my Husband out on a Sunday Morning for a Birthday Breakfast, yummy scrambled eggs, spinach and avo, with the Big Breakfast for my Husband. Both dishes good size serves and very tasty. The highlight for me was the coffee! Absolutely lovely! Service was friendly enough, just need to be a little quicker to set the tables up when someone sits at them. Can’t complain about the setting, what a view! We will be back! View all feedback.
What Padmacara doesn't like about Tradewinds Bar & Bistro:
Great location, spacious alfresco dining, and pretty good food! A couple of 'Bites ' portions were fine for me (see photos), but I imagine the larger plates would be quite copious if you 've got a big appetite. It 's the old 'order at the bar and get a number ' formula, so service is barely there to be rated. It 's seemingly quite a popular spot, so it got quite noisy as family groups came in, but it 's nice to lunch... View all feedback.
The only positive was the till lady’s manner. Very polite and gave the kids in our group colouring kits. They forgot my coffee until I reminded them 20 minutes later, another 20 minutes later I asked where the crispy skin barramundi was, and they hadn’t yet put it on. It wasn’t busy). When it came out it was a sloppy mushy fillet and there was no crispy skin. At all. Poor quality.
Love the beautiful setting at Tradewinds and the amazing view. Drinks are a little pricey, wish they had a happy hour. They just introduced Wine down Wednesday where you get free canapé with glass of wine, so thought we would have a go. Ordered four glasses of wine and then went back for a whole bottle of wine. Only canapé we received was a few tiny pieces of Turkish bread and some olives. Same plate for both orders! It was nice, but underwhelming and not what we were expecting.
We went to Tradewinds years ago and went back based on history, used to be great. Our experience wasn’t. Had the smoked board and Butrata, the food came out super quick but like it had been reheated, wasn’t good at all. Really disappointing, the wings and ribs were soaked in sauce, not crispy or bubbling fresh. The Burrata had hot tomatoes and no basil, sitting in a soup of balsamic and oil, the bread was in the soup stuff so was soggy. Tried to order a second drink, couldn’t get anyone to acknowledge us. Maybe what we selected but honestly we wouldn’t try again. View is great!
Great atmosphere at this hotel such a pity that they decide to cash in on this point with not so nice platters of assorted items. Overrated to say the least very disappointed please slice meat for the platters so you CANNOT see thru it. Surely by slicing this item the cost could not be that great. Also advertise Strongbo. Take it off the drink menu. see thru it.
I ordered a chicken burger. Cut it in half to eat it easier. The sauce spurted out onto my finger, which had a blister on it within 5 minutes. I spent the whole night with one finger in a glass of ice water to try and ease the pain until I could get home and be seen to by a registered nurse, who said it was a first degree burn. Venue didn't even discount the meal Good thing I cut the burger first, cannot imagine how painful it would have been to burn my mouth Won't be going here again
