Riverstone requires quite a long wait, so I recommend going for an early dinner. The food was good, though it leaned towards the pricey side. The Walleye was tasty, but I wasn’t particularly impressed with the bread. The atmosphere felt a bit understated, but our waitress was kind and attentive while we were seated. View all feedback.
What Ashley doesn't like about Riverstone Tavern:
The pizza was extremely flavorless, and the crust was so tough that it hurt my teeth. I've typically had good experiences at Riverstone, but I wouldn't recommend the pizza this time. View all feedback.
Great food, great service and great prices! I really enjoyed this place.
Beautiful setting. Loved the quilts that were on display. The food was wonderful. My first time there was for Mother's day what a wonderful treat. Patrick our server was a very polite and cheery young man. Loved the the array of food. The dessert tables were displayed and labeled beautifully. I had the best prime rib, I am very picky about it and made to my liking. Thank you for a very enjoyable meal
Great dining experience, from beginning to end. We meandered in on a Saturday night, expecting a crowd, but there was immediate seating available so the two of us got a corner table without issue. From the hot bread and garlic infused oil, to the excellent wine list (bottle and glass) and the delicious entrees, it was a delightful meal. Our waiter was very experienced, attentive and gave us just the right amount of space. Dinner was very fairly priced, and we would most definitely go there again. My date ordered the cedar planked salmon and I had the Pasta Florentine. Both dishes were prepared perfectly and the plate presentation was very pleasing. Proportions were ample but not over the top, as in so many restaurants up north. Just the right amount. So why four stars and not five? The dining room itself doesn't match up with the food or the service. Feels more like a Denny's on the inside than anything, to no fault of the restaurant, it just didn't feel as intimate as I would have liked. Other than that, do not hesitate. The Maitre De was really friendly and I was told by friends later that he's the proprietor. Nice to have that hands on person holding things together. Kudos.
Give this place some credit. It is BY FAR the best high end restaurant to eat in Eagle River. The beef wellington was perfect! Sure service is slow but very pleasant, what do you expect from a small town? The atmosphere made the wait well worth it. Everyone there was very nice. Their breads and garlic oils is divine. If you want fried fish, go to all the other bar first, restaurant second joints in town and there are plenty! Kudos to the owners for something a little better than that!
This was our first time here. On Saturday night at 5:30. Table for seven. Don't wait. Once everyone decided what the food wanted...
