View all feedback.
What Sammy Mitchell doesn't like about Wilfrid sur Laurier:
We were there for a family supper, I ordered grilled octopus because I had seen a photo on their site looked good.. when I got the plate it seemed like thinly sliced pieces of octopus with tons of onion salad! If I wanted salad I was going to order one not pay $40 for it. My wife ordered the sea bass tasted like butter. For the money they charge we were expecting something better.. I compare to Casa Grecque much more... View all feedback.
Great dinner at a large neighbourhood, mainly visited by locals. had two excellent main dishes. the first scallops with roasted cauliflower, johannisbeeren and any kind of cream was amazing. amazing combination and the scallops were perfectly cooked. my wife had a zucchini-based vegetarian. that was also really good. sat in the outdoor back terrace that was really comfortable. the service was very good with very good knowledge about the very affordable weinlist. a total value for this quality of food. my only complaining was that the appetizers were too salty. if not for the salt, the salate and the garnel appetizer (with quinoa and avocado) would have been excellent. I recommend this restaurant.
We always feel great after discovering a hidden shade. I know it sounds cliché, but that's a definitive one. decor was simple, reflective montreal culture. for some it may be a little less exciting. but we felt very comfortable. the music was good...selected the service was excellent. good recommendation on basis of each of our preferences. all ingredients were remarkably fresh. Yes, very fresh. the part was very generous. the taste was exceptional and the presentation was first-class, easily challenging many high-end restaurants in new york and london. the price was also surprisingly good. $38 for a three-course dinner. such quality costs me easily $80-90 in toronto. we will return safely and we will bring friends.
Every time they are happy enough to discover a facility where they feel the cook is a true artist. every dish that comes to her table, she has tried to identify the special ingredients that are responsible for these incredible aromes. with six of. we could enjoy various menu offers. the entrees: wild Argentine shrimp with avocado and gravlax from organic salmon were an early indication, this would be a well-priced eating. the most important courses were excellent. the scallops were perfectly prepared and far from the overcooked pellets that I served too often. the duck was a generous presentation and from all contens also delicious, as the cadjau dessert was a selection of chocolate torte with tart cries, rodel cake with homemade jam and rhabarb or a cheese plate. perfect wise to finish an extraordinary meal. the prices were very reasonable, especially if they participate in their fixed price menu. beautiful ambiente with paintings added to the inviting, warm facility. such a fine meal and a friendly, attentive staff. has made us the evening we remember.
Family dinner. Good food, nice service. The prix fixe menu offer good choices. Fresh products, tasty food.
Excellent place. Cozy atmosphere, AMAZING food!!! only reason why I am giving this a 4 instead of a 5 star is the wine list could use a lot of help. If you want a bottle to go with a meal, you can find one, but...donèt expect to be wowed by anything on the wine list. For the price though, much better value than you can get anywhere else nearby. The shrimp starter was simply delicious, and the duck main was cooked to perfection. Couldnèt ask for much more.
