I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. I found Kitchenette after a long, grueling day of travel (rather, Yelp found it for me) and I am compelled to share my positive experience.
Absolutely amazing I'm from Chicago and we wanted a nice meal so I googled "where to eat in the village".
La Marea was a pleasant surprise. We occasionally dine in the area and the restaurants are usually just okay. La Marea, on the other hand, comes from Westchester where there are plenty of great options to choose from. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere was inviting and cozy. I can't praise it enough. You really need to experience it for yourself.
Excellent food. The mozzarella and tomato salad was the best I've ever had. Shrimp and scallops over polenta were a wonderful and unique mix of flavors. The menu had a wide variety and the service was wonderful
