The Hollow Tree - Durbanville

The waiters are very friendly, coffee and burgers are average in taste and presentation. Prices are fair of the food and beverages. A fully stocked bar and a desert menu that have the South African favourites on it, can somebody say Malva Pudding? Worth mentioning a fire place kept my visit nice and cozy.

The service was lacking urgency as we waited 20min from the moment the waitress took the order for COFFEE only. I was wondering how long it took to prepare water, the ingredients for the coffee and how long it took to walk back. At the time i was thinking to have an early supper from there as well...needless to say though... Very poor service indeed.

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance and a very cool atmosphere. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The waitstaff are extremely friendly and make you feel relaxed. It's the perfect spot to unwind with good company. I highly recommend trying the Black Bell sandwich with rocket and honey drizzle - it's a must-have!

We visited the Oxford Arms, which has reverted back to its original name. It's a great place with fantastic food and beer. The staff took good care of our group, even staying open for us after closing time so we could have a few more rounds. Highly recommended!

Yesterday afternoon we had a quick lunch at this restaurant! We ordered the calamari and chicken strips pub lunch combo and it was amazing. The service was fast and the staff was friendly. Our food arrived quickly and we loved that they were generous with their sauces.
