This restaurant was beyond incredible. The waitress offered exceptional service and the views were incredible. I would definitely recommend this restaurant anyone looking for a little bit of a temporary break away. Portions were really big. I had enough left over for 2 more meals. View all feedback.
Went there for lunch on 22 October 2023. It was such a hot day, we opted to sit inside. It was packed inside and outside but they managed to find us a seat. Extremely friendly staff, especially our waiter Brendan, who made us feel at ease and was very good at communicating about delays. He also provided us with useful insights when we asked about the menu. I ordered the oven roasted crown of quail and my partner ordered the pork tomahawk (only took a pic of the one side of the tomahawk, there was a second plate). The presentation and portion size blew were spectacular. We left full I would highly recommend this place.
Outstanding in every aspect. My first visit to Jéan restaurant will definitely not be my last. Our party was large but not one person was disappointed with their meal, the service or the ambience. The restaurant was busy but no one was neglected. The food was outstanding (breakfast) and hot. Each cup of coffee I had was piping hot just the way I like it. The gluten free toast was very good as was the gluten free Orange Almond tart. This restaurant is attentive to its guests and the food is awesome.
One of the very few 5 stars I have given! The venue and view is great. You get to sit right next to the vineyards will rolling hills behind. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Food was outstanding. We were a table of 6 ordering 3 burgers and 3 Karoo lamb dishes. Probably the best looking burger I have ever seen think homemade pattie, lots of bacon, slice of cheese and the chips looked tasty and well seasoned. My Karoo lamb was unbelievably tender, and all the bits on the side tasted great and were presented well too. Overall you could taste and see that the food was made with care and attention. We did not have deserts, but I ordered a few as a take away for the family at home and they lived them all. Will definitely bring the family next time and a good choice for foreign visitors. BTW, there is a small shop selling interesting goodies and wine tasting next door.
Went as a work end-of-year function geoup event. Great scenery if you like winelands and gentle hills. Food is very tasty, and staff are very friendly and helpful. No mixed up orders. Personally I am not a fan of their wine, especially the rosé. Food more than made up for it though.
What is not to like about a great setting overlooking the vineyards, amazing food and decent service? Even though the service could be a little more attentive, it was rather busy over the lunch rush hour. The yellowtail on a bed of herby couscous with arancini balls and sauce was perfectly balanced and enjoyable. My friends equally enjoyed their gravadlax and hamburger with chips. The restaurant is not far out of Cape Town city and definitely worth visiting.
