Always a treat, the good food. We had the cheese and meat platter and was pleasantly surprised at the detail that went into the selection on the plate. Outstanding!

The restaurant at Fisantekraal is our absolute favorite lunch time venue. We so enjoy the seasonal menus which change to suit the time of year. The chef is a delight with her unique offering in terms of flavours and food choices. Coupled with the fine wines of Fisantekraal, we highly recommend eating here all year round!

If you find yourself in the Durbanville winelands, you absolutely have to include Groot Phesantekraal in your itinerary! They have a fantastic repertoire of wines and the most charming tasting room (an old chicken coop) and restaurant (sheep shearing shed) converted, of course. Look for the farmer's sheep tally scribbles on the wall! I loved the venue, the people, and food, and the wine!
