We had to eat in the Station Pub as the hotel restaurant was closed. We were there on the cheap pasta night, the quantity and quality were excellent. Our only complaint was that our water glasses were refilled during the meal; not too bad a problem. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about CV Station Pub:
The French toast was thick French bread with only the outer edges dipped in egg, the inside was white bread. I had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. I should have insisted on something else. View all feedback.
Went here last night as meeting a family member. Atmosphere is good. Service was good.We all had different burgers all very good. The cod burger was nice. House burgers were good also. House Salad a nice variety of veg. The server brought me a small sample of beer to try. Never had that ever...her suggestion was perfect ordered the pint. I found this server to go above and beyond regular service by a simple gesture of" try before you buy" and not be stuck with a beer you don't like. This was on tap beer. I think called 1994 Kroneberg. A excellent beer to try at this pub if in area. Overall a great experience. We will be back as family recently moved to Duncan. Cheers...
Hey this is a surprisingly nice place and although they were not very busy for a Friday night in the restaurant the pub seemed to be rocking. We all ordered different things and were satisfied with what we recieved. Our server was attentive and professional as was Cassandra at reception.I thought the prices were a little high as the invoice for 4 of us was around $80 for the main meal only with cups of coffee and water as the drinks.I am told that the lunch there is very good and worth trying. For a Best Western restaurant it wasn't bad and yes we would go back.
We stopped in the Best Western Hotel in Cowichan Valley, north of Duncan BC and were pleased to discover that we could have a beer and dinner in the attached CV Station Pub. The room is modern and comfortable, with a choice of styles of seating: booths, lounge tables and high tables. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was very good, especially the homemade beef and vegetable soup - one of the best soups I have had in my 59 years! We enjoyed our Asian style bowls of stir fries on rice. The menu has something for every taste. The special was a prime rib Yorkshire pudding for $12.50 or so - but we did not try it. The only issue I have is that my wife's food was a bit more spicy that she would have liked, and we were not first asked how spicy we like our food. We will return!
Stopped there after work with some co-workers for appy's and a beer. The nachos and potato skins were both very good and the beer was cold. The wait staff was very good and the food came out very quick.
We were told the Eggs Benny here were incredible but were cynical given it was a Best Western restaurant in a small town on the Vancouver Island highway. With low expectations we put it to the test this morning. They arrived cooked to order with a side of hash browns. Apparently the sauce is made from scratch and it was perfection. 4 of 6 of us ordered them and we were all impressed. The 2 others realized their error when they had a taste. Endless coffee exceeded regular hotel fare and all this topped off by excellent service. Don't ask me about anything else on the menu because every time I pass through Duncan it's going to be the Benny for me.
