Popped in here just for a few drinks. The staff were very friendly and chatty and were talking away the most of the night to us as we sat at the bar. They were defiantly passionate about their cocktails and think between the two of us we tried a good chunk of them all of which were nice. Bar staff also gave us free popcorn to eat away on during the night. View all feedback.
What Chloe C doesn't like about Hartley's:
Hartleys is an unsuspecting chic restaurant just by Dun Laoghaire harbour. I went for the vegetarian burger which was absolutely sublime. Really very tasty. The staff were great and a bit of fun too. They do a good value house wine in a litre caraf which helps add a bit of value as it is more expensive than usual. Not sure it's a young scene there and I missed the ability to cross the road into a funky bar or head in... View all feedback.

Some of the staff were enthusiastic and some were not, including one who eye rolled after asking for the allergies menu. There was no delay seating however we were asked to wait before ordering because the kitchen was at capacity. Food was ok but there was a mismatch with quality and price
My now wife and I decided to celebrate our marriage in Hartley’s. It is hard to put into a review just how good every aspect of the evening was with the team in Hartley’s. Every guest commented to us on how friendly, warm and courteous all the staff were throughout the evening. The food was delicious, all courses. Again everyone who attended is still telling me how good everything tasted and how excellent the service was. Hard to thank Igor, Julie and the team enough for everything. I cannot recommend the place enough I have eaten there now 3 times and will definitely be back !
We arrived in Dun Laoghaire at about 1930hrs on Sunday evening. Hartley's was one of the few places serving food until 2100hrs. We chose the hot wings, a fish chips, and a saefood linguine. Food was excellent, fortunately we had seen another couple received the hot wings and only ordered one portion between us. Large portions.
Arrived for Sunday lunch (July 16) nervous that my wife, who is a sensitive coeliac, could be served gluten free food. We were immediately put at ease by the very competent lady manager who assured us that the entire meal would be gluten free and it was! She even supervised the serving at our table. The server himself was also friendly and competent. Thanks to her assurances we had a very relaxing meal. We'll be back, next time with family!
