In my searching for the perfect breakfast place I visited the Sta Teresa Restaurant today. Located downtown near Bo's Coffee shop. They had a large selection of fresh Filipino food, sandwiches and pasteries. At lunch time it was many locals eating here. They had WiFi with a good speed. Good value for food! Mid range I should say, but when you get the chance to taste the food, I will assure you, that you will come back and try again! Humba and Baguio beans guisado is a top notch for me! I'm so happy my friend brought us here1
Do not expected too much as far as the restaurant itself. I went to the one within walking distance from PVL Suites. It is turo-turo (cafeteria style) with a good amount of selection. Some look appetizing while others are not. Pretty healthy serving sizes. May not be the best but it is ok and satisfies the craving or hunger. Three days in Dumaguete and ate there 2 times.
This little restaurant is off the beaten track a bit (down a side street) but worth the trip there if you want somewhere quiet for lunch. The food was good, although a bit pricy. I’m a smoker, so to find a tiny courtyard where smoking is allowed, was definitely a bonus. If you’re tired of the same old places, give this one a try. I’ll be back.
Tasty and reasonably priced, perfect for those on a budget. The restaurant is clean and has a cozy atmosphere with a variety of Filipino and continental dishes. Many of the recipes are reminiscent of Nora Daza's cooking style.
The many dishes served at their two restaurants in Dumaguete try to please the middle class filipino palate, but to me it's a hit and miss affair. Trust your eyes and select the best looking dishes, and you may be pleasantly surprised.
